Independent Lives

A person has their arms up in the air and they have two thumbs up. Next to them is a flag with a tick.

Independent Lives is a program to help you to be independent.

It includes:

Three women standing and talking to each other
  • activities to help you build your capacity
  • peer mentoring
A man using a laptop. Next to him is his support worker. There are 2 spinning wheels above them.

Your capacity is:

  • your ability to do something
  • the skills you have
  • how you manage your everyday life.
Two people. A man is helping explain a book to the other man.

Peer mentoring is when you meet someone who has been through a similar situation to you.

They guide you so you can do things well on your own.

We will work with you to find out what skills you have already.
