The genU family supports people through our disability support, seniors services, training and employment services for job seekers, students and business partners in the community.

The genU family includes genU Training, IPA, MatchWorks, Seasons Café and Catering, The Otway Kitchen and Pipsqueaks Early Learning Centre.

Yes. genU has been a registered NDIS provider since 2013. We are one of the largest disability service providers under the scheme in Victoria and also offer NDIS supports in Tasmania. We can assist with applications to the NDIS, understanding funding and support levels, and accessing those supports to achieve goals and build capacity.

  • Pathways to Employment
  • School Leavers Employment Support
  • Online and Community Based Connection and Engagement Programs
  • School holidays and Camps
  • Recreation and Leisure Support
  • Individualised Support (in-home, in the community, food preparation)
  • Accommodation- via Shared Individual Living support within a variety of properties- some owned by genU and others owned by Supported Disability Accommodation providers.

Yes, we do! Join our team of enthusiastic volunteers and engage with people of all ages living with disability and/or a mental illness, the socially isolated and senior community members who need support to reach their full potential.

Opportunities for volunteers are varied and include assisting childcare, education and training, allied health, leisure and lifestyle, pet therapy, art and music therapy, animal care, retail nurseries, business enterprises, community access as well as providing social respite and companionship.

Our volunteers work in the Victorian areas of Warrnambool, Colac, Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula, Werribee, Mornington Peninsula and some areas of metropolitan Melbourne including Northcote, Thornbury and Reservoir.

Yes, genU provides both employment opportunities and career support for people living with disability.

This includes offering Supported Employment roles in genU businesses and social enterprises. Supported Employment provides extra assistance, training, and flexibility in the workplace to people living with disability.

genU Supported Employees get valuable experience in real jobs and earn genuine pay. If you have NDIS funding for employment supports, talk to us about our variety of Supported Employment opportunities in our great teams in Geelong, Colac, Rosebud and Campbellfield.

Our Employment Services for NDIS participants include Youth Employment. We provide tailored support to build the skills and confidence to get job ready and to reach employment goals. This tailored support can include resume-building, work experience in open employment, travel training, and ongoing workplace support.

In addition, genU’s employment services provider MatchWorks helps thousands of people living with an injury, disability or health conditions find and be successful at work through the government-funded Disability Employment Services (DES).
