MatchWorks to deliver new Inclusive Employment Australia program across six states

MatchWorks, a genU division, has been selected to deliver the Federal Government Department of Social Services-funded Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program, expanding its service delivery footprint across six states, making our supports more accessible to participants across Australia.

IEA replaces the existing Disability Employment Services (DES) program on 1 November and is the Federal Government’s commitment to provide more inclusive employment services for people with disability and long-term illnesses.

MatchWorks will deliver IEA from 201 locations across Australia, a significant increase from our current offering under DES. New sites will be opened in Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales.

MatchWorks is one of the largest Disability Employment providers in the country and is proudly part of genU, a leading community services provider which has been supporting people with disability for over 70 years.

This strong connection gives MatchWorks participants access to a broad network of support services and allows them to benefit from the expertise and experience of staff across Australia.

genU CEO Clare Amies described the win as “recognition for the innovative, high-performing and professional work MatchWorks continues to do nationally as a respected disability employment service provider”.

“Achieving this result in such a competitive tender process is a huge accomplishment and a true credit to the commitment of all MatchWorks staff,” Ms Amies said.

“It’s a testament to the high quality MatchWorks model and the extensive community and industry partnerships we have established to create meaningful employment opportunities for our participants.”

MatchWorks Group General Manager Sue Osman said “MatchWorks welcomes the transformative changes introduced by Inclusive Employment Australia. These reforms mean broader access and more tailored supports for participants to find a job they love, while also enabling us to better assist employers in building inclusive workplaces and support people with disability. We’re proud to be able to help more participants than ever before.”

“With our well-established pathway programs, MatchWorks is uniquely positioned to support people with disability to prepare for and gain meaningful employment. Our offerings include supported employment, work experience opportunities, NDIS and wellbeing supports, vocational training, and specialist expertise in disability services – including tailored programs for neurodivergent individuals.” Ms Osman said.

Ms Amies said “MatchWorks is well prepared to deliver exceptional services

for clients needing holistic support to reach their potential and find meaningful employment.”

“Delivering IEA aligns with our vision to build genuinely inclusive communities and enrich people’s lives through connections, supports and opportunities”.
