Artists, start your palettes and prepare to make a splash at the biggest exhibition in the Geelong region for people with disability!
Submissions are now open for artX Regional 2025, and you have until 21 March to enter your artwork for a chance at winning a prize or selling your amazing artwork.
The exhibition runs from Thursday 3 April to Thursday 24 April in the Rachinger Gallery at the Eastern Hub Community Centre.
genU CEO Clare Amies said if the standard of art at previous artX exhibitions was any indication, the entries for the 17th artX Regional would be outstanding and the artwork diverse, vibrant and thought-provoking.
And it promises to be the biggest exhibition yet.
“With exciting changes to the submission rules, genU is anticipating at least 150 entries,” Ms Amies said.
“For the first time, artists can submit three artworks for judging, and I can’t wait to see them displayed in our fantastic gallery space.”
Clare said genU was also thrilled to announce a new category for 2025: the High Achievement Award.
“We have introduced this prize to acknowledge the commitment and progress of an artist who has recently started exploring their artistic creativity and evolving journey,” Ms Amies said.
“We are also pleased to be presenting first and runner-up prizes and will be once again purchasing the winner’s artwork to proudly hang in our genU art Hall of Fame at our head office in Belmont.”
artX Regional 2025 is coordinated by genU and features works of art created by artists with disability or a history of mental illness.
The exhibition gives artists a chance to share their artwork with the public, celebrate their creativity, and gain financially if their artwork is sold.
Judges will again decide the winner and runner-up entries, along with the new High Achievement Award category.

This exhibition is open to artists over the age of 16 with disability or a history of mental illness who live in regional Victoria (including Western District, Central Victoria, Mornington).
