Eligibility criteria applies to all outreach services. We’d like to thank the Victorian Government for helping us to deliver these programs.
The Community Reconnections Program aims to assist and connect people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their home, with long-term, secure and affordable housing options.
genU also actively engages with individuals to offer temporary support to help people get regular or special healthcare services.
Eligibility:
- Not receiving a NDIS package or Home Care Package
- Aged 25 years +
- Experiencing or at risk of homelessness
- Live in City of Greater Geelong, Bellarine, Surf Coast or Colac.
- Living in low quality or insecure accommodation
- Currently receiving Centrelink Benefit(s)
- Have multiple unmet health needs and would benefit from case management support.
Are you over 50 and experiencing short or long-term housing issues? genU’s housing support helps older adults facing a range of social, financial and/or health issues that can contribute to your tenancy being at risk.
The program provides temporary support to ensure individuals can maintain stable accommodation and independent living in their home.
Eligibility:
- Aged 50 years +
- Aged 45 years + for First Nation Peoples
- Single or couple living without children
- At risk of losing public housing tenancy or entering public housing
- Live in City of Greater Geelong, Bellarine, Surf Coast or Colac.
- Currently receiving Centrelink Benefit(s)
- Have multiple unmet health needs and would benefit from case management support
- Excludes those receiving NDIS or Home Care Package supports.
If you’re living in Supported Residential Services in Geelong and want to be connected to health and community services, Supported Residential Services Outreach and Assistance Program (formerly SAVVI) is for you.
Whether you require access to health services, advocacy, skill development or connection to community participation, genU can work with you to reach your wants and needs.

Are you under 65 and need assistance living independently in the community? By providing individually tailored packages of care and case management, Linkages assists people by gaining access to a range of supports to help them live independently. Whether this is linking participants with long term funding options (NDIS) or providing appropriate support networks, we can assist you.
Eligibility:
- Not receiving a NDIS package or Home Care Package
- Under 65 (or under 50 for First Nations peoples)
- Live in one of the following government areas; City of Greater Geelong, Borough of Queenscliff or Surf Coast Shire
- Have complex care or unmet health needs and would benefit from case management support
- Currently receiving Centrelink Benefit(s)
- Need support with daily tasks because of a physical and/or psychosocial limitation, stemming from disabilities or chronic illnesses.
Navigating Services helps guide people through the aged care system and other community-based services. genU facilitates the connection between individuals and the necessary support systems.
If you live in City of Greater Geelong, Surf Coast Shire or the Borough of Queenscliff and do not have a carer or support person who help you link in with supports, you may be eligible for this service.

Are you interested in forming friendships with people in your local community? We provide a welcoming space for individuals aged under 65 with like-minded interested to encourage social connection and emotional health.
