One of the best things in life is being out and about and having fun! So, come along to our social outings that take you all around Victoria.
If you’re over 65 years old, spend your days making new friends and mingling with like-minded people.
Whether you’re interested in 1-on-1 social support, group outings or both, join our friendly community.
From social outings and support to home visits, the DoCare program empowers people over 65, in the Geelong region to stay social.
We’ll match you with your very own social support volunteer who will support you with one-on-one social support, regular contact and companionship.
Live a happier and healthier life with care!
If you’re living in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula community, stay social by joining Staying Connected.
It’s all about getting out there, to be a better you, so our volunteers will provide home visiting, social outings or social support activities, and of course, a little fun, laughter and companionship along the way!
Support is available from 1-3 hours each week.
Sometimes life throws a curve ball (like 2020) and we can’t get together face-to-face, never fear genU can still connect you!
genU’s virtual social supports for over 65s is all about connecting people socially through a digital platform during COVID-19 restrictions. genU offers daily chat groups, morning trivia, musical events, art and craft, book club and exercise through a really easy to use device that we can provide you with, via Zoom on your own device or other online platforms. People can choose what interests them from our calendar of events.

Social Support Groups
Socialising and independent living can go hand-in-hand! If you live alone and want to get out of the house, Social Support Groups are for you.
Get involved in winery tours, food and dining experiences, artistic pursuits, bush and nature walks, theatre and musicals, cooking classes and so much more.
We run a number of wide-ranging activities in the Greater Geelong region. Whatever your interests, we’re sure that there’s an activity to suit it!
Sounds pretty fun, right? Trust us, they are. And they have some other benefits too. Our group-based activities and excursions increase physical activity (fitness), cognitive stimulation (thinking) and emotional wellbeing (happiness).
