AI coach app revolutionises support for jobseekers and employment services

genU Training and Getmee have launched a world-first AI-powered app designed to transform training and employment outcomes for jobseekers and the employment sector.

This innovative tool, known as the genU Training AI app, offers personalised coaching in a groundbreaking way, aimed at improving soft skills, interview skills, professional communication, and building confidence.

genU CEO Clare Amies hailed the launch as a major gamechanger for jobseekers and employment service providers.

"genU Training AI will take training and employment outcomes to a whole new level, with this unique app and its exciting features,” Ms Amies said.

"This smart solution will deliver benefits for jobseekers and employment service providers, through enabling a more inclusive, supportive, and effective recruitment process.

“The app is accessible and user-friendly, making it an ideal resource for anyone looking to enhance their employability and learn at their own pace in their own time.

Ms Amies said the introduction of the AI coach was the next step in genU Training’s digital strategy to introduce innovative products, including AI tools, for students to give them the best options for training and learning and delivering improved outcomes.

genU Training General Manager Nikki Noack emphasised how critical skills – interview techniques, professional communication, English language proficiency – were essential for people to successfully enter today’s workforces.

Ms Noack said the interview skills category is predicted to be the most popular feature, with jobseekers keen to access real-world scenarios across a diverse range of career categories.

Using cutting-edge AI technology, leading Australian app developer Getmee designed the innovative tool to identify a user’s individual progress and provides the right tips and advice to help them continue to improve in key areas.

Getmee CEO and founder Balendran Thavarajah said Getmee AI was specifically designed to provide practical, personalised coaching that transforms job seekers into job-ready professionals.

"Our collaboration with genU Training signifies a new era of employability support, where AI bridges skill gaps and empowers individuals to unlock their full potential,” he said.

Feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive, with jobseekers highlighting the app's effectiveness to improve communication skills and boost confidence.

“As users grow their skills, this will help remove a large part of the stress behind preparing for a job interview, and they will have less anxiety during interviews,” Ms Noack said.

Ms Noack said the introduction of the new app would augment genU Training’s offerings and interactions between staff and students, which centred on holistic support.

“We will strike a balance between this exciting AI to enhance the job seeker journey, while still maintaining the important human connection and engagement that remains paramount for success and achieving positive outcomes,” she said.

To complement the apps key features, there is a large library of resources, including videos, on relevant topics for expanding interview and communication skills.

The app is also designed to support people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds by helping them build their English vocabulary, improve speaking skills, and gain confidence in communicating during job interviews and in the workplace.

genU Training for Work students will gain free access to the app as part of their training course. genU Training and Getmee are already planning to introduce new app features in the next 12 months, to further enhance the learning experience for users.
