New Executive appointments strengthen genU for Growth
Following an executive functional structure review, genU is pleased to announce a refreshed Executive Leadership Team (ELT) that will strengthen organisational clarity, enhance accountability, provide strong operational leadership and improve the connection between strategy and service delivery.
The updated structure also strengthens executive representation across key areas of the organisation, ensuring frontline services, commercial sustainability and future growth remain at the centre of decision-making.
Following consultation with staff and key stakeholders, CEO Dr Chelsea Tobin confirmed that, given the rapid changes occurring across several of the sectors in which genU operates, optimising executive leadership is vital to maintaining the organisation's vision of building genuinely inclusive communities.
"The changes reflect genU's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality services while continuing to evolve to meet the changing needs of the communities we support," said Dr Tobin.
While Brooke Draper, Kelly Marshall and Louise Khallouf will continue in their roles, with some adjustments to responsibilities, several exciting appointments have also been made.
Sue Osman appointed Group Executive – Employment
Sue Osman has been appointed Group Executive – Employment. Her appointment recognises her outstanding leadership across MatchWorks and genU's employment services.
Throughout her tenure, Sue has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on customer outcomes, operational performance and continuous improvement, while successfully leading the portfolio through an increasingly complex operating environment.
Lisa Abbott appointed interim Group Executive – Businesses
Lisa Abbott has been appointed Group Executive – Businesses on an interim basis.
With more than 14 years at genU, Lisa brings extensive executive leadership experience across diverse service environments. Her expertise in operational leadership, business transformation, stakeholder engagement and sustainable growth will support the continued success of genU's businesses portfolio.
Mia Huntley appointed Group Executive – Clinical Quality & Safeguarding
Mia Huntley has been permanently appointed Group Executive – Clinical Quality & Safeguarding following a comprehensive recruitment process.
Mia brings extensive operational leadership experience across disability and ageing services and has built a strong reputation for championing quality, client outcomes and safe, person-centred care. Her appointment reinforces genU's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality services and maintaining strong governance across the organisation.
