Board member David Bartlett

Former Tasmanian Premier David Bartlett joins genU Board

We’re delighted to announce David Bartlett, former Premier of Tasmania will transition from the Li-Ve Tas Board Chair position to the genU Board to build on the strong Tasmanian voice and extend this nationally. Having held several non-executive positions in high growth technology companies and not-for-profit organisations, David will bring a wealth of experience to the genU Board.

“I’ll be working to make sure there is continuity for people genU now supports locally and for their staff and communities. This merger is a great example of how Tasmanians can benefit from interstate growth, investment and expertise,” David said.

“The Tasmanian part of genU now makes up almost half of the organisation’s core disability services business and genU is Tasmania’s second largest disability support provider, so we have a significant platform locally and an opportunity to contribute on the national stage,” Bartlett said.

Dr Michael Stanford, genU Board Chair said David’s ongoing involvement brings very significant experience and knowledge to the organisation.

“I am looking forward to great things to come from this partnership.”

Over 420 Tasmanian staff and 220 clients transitioned from Li-Ve Tas to genU on July 1. The Tasmanian community can expect to continue receive high-quality disability and aged care services now that Li-Ve Tas and genU have united as one as genU.
