Li-Ve Tasmania and genU unite as one

Tasmanian disability support provider Li-Ve Tasmania united with genU on July 1, 2023. This exciting partnership will create new opportunities for Tasmanians with disability and in aged care.

Together as genU, we’ll continue to support our Tasmanian communities through our disability and aged care services.

Our services in Tasmania will remain the same and be delivered by the same people in the same locations. Li-Ve Tasmania leaders and support staff will continue to bring their expertise and local knowledge to deliver high-quality support to participants, families and communities.

genU – genuinely inclusive. genuinely passionate. genuinely Tasmanian.

Our shared vision

Like Li-Ve Tasmania, genU has a rich history of empowering people to live their best possible lives. Our values – Welcoming; Innovative; Safe; Empowered; Respectful – all support our vision and shape our culture of inclusion.

We look forward to welcoming Tasmanian participants to the genU family and empowering even more people with disability to reach their full potential.

Li-Ve Tasmania is uniting with genU to strengthen service delivery and care for clients across Tasmania.

Both Li-Ve Tasmania and genU share a long history in providing high-quality, person-centred disability services within regional communities. We also share a strong purpose to empower people to live their best possible lives.

Li-Ve Tasmania actively sought a successful partnership to achieve a sustainable long-term future for disability and aged care services across the state.

genU’s wide range of disability, aged care, employment and other services will provide new opportunities for Tasmanian’s who are ageing and living with disability.

genU delivers high-quality services to empower Australians to reach their full potential. Every day, our work supports people through our disability support, aged care services, training and employment services for job seekers, students and business partners in the community. Find out more about the genU Family.

Our story started in 1952 when a small group of Geelong parents dreamed of a world for their children where disability would not stand in the way of their opportunities and potential. Today, our 4000+ workforce provides support and services across Australia.

We’re also a ‘profit for purpose’ organisation and reinvest back into programs and services that help build more inclusive communities.

Li-Ve Tasmania clients can still expect the same high-quality and client focused service as we unite to become one organisation. We’re currently focused on ensuring a smooth transition process and positive experience for all Tasmanians connected to our services.

Li-Ve Tasmania leaders and disability support staff will continue to bring their expertise and local knowledge to support participants, families and communities.

Over time, we plan to enhance and build upon these existing services and support for Tasmanian’s living with disability and the ageing.

Once we unite, all services will continue to be offered to Tasmanian clients by the same people in the same places. We’re committed to honouring our close connections with the people and communities we support and encourage you to reach out to your local team with any queries.

Call 1300 558 368 or email contact@genu.org.au to contact our customer service team. When you contact us, we will get back to you within 2 business days.

Our Client Experiences team will also be reaching out to Tasmanian clients throughout July to find out ways we can deliver additional support to make the transition as smooth as possible.
