We’re over 450 volunteers strong, but we’re always on the lookout for new team members.

Whether it’s one-on-one support for individuals or assisting staff in group activities in your local community, our volunteers are engaged in over 100 different activities every week.

Our volunteers come from all ages and backgrounds; generously sharing their welcoming, open and can-do attitudes with our community.

As a volunteer, you’ll have ongoing support and training throughout your journey. And you can benefit from flexible hours.

Let’s Get Down to Detail

Volunteers at genU can engage with a wide range of people including young people, adults and our senior community members who need your support to reach their full potential. This may include working with people living with a disability, mental illness, isolation, and increasing age-related frailty.

Our aged care and all-ability programs operate across Warrnambool, Colac, Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula, Werribee, Mornington Peninsula and also some areas of metropolitan Melbourne including Northcote, Thornbury and Reservoir.

Please note that the minimum age for volunteering is 18 for unsupervised roles.
